Pathos Sniper Evo – Precision Meets Power

This next generation speargun is designed for the experienced spearo who needs a powerful fully balanced tool for all types of fishing, where a power shot is crucial.

It’s compact, minimal and hydrodynamic. A roller speargun that shoots smoothly and straight without recoiling at long distance.

Why a roller?

A rollergun pulls the bands the full length of the barrel meaning you get around 20% more speed and power for the size of the gun, it also greatly reduces recoil and improves accuracy.

Key Features

The Pathos sniper is fitted with an enclosed track making it exceptionally accurate as the spear is locked into the rail, this also makes the gun very quick to reload just like a closed muzzle but maintains a streamlined barrel with great line of sight.

The new EVO has a lighter 6.75mm spear with the 16mm grey latex band making the gun lighter overall, easier and quicker to reload whilst still retaining a great power to weight ratio.

The gun also has another band hole in the muzzle ideal for a 14mm booster band to add more power or give you a great lower power option for close range.

Bands

The bands are dipped latex made by Primeline in the USA which is the gold standard for speargun rubber, its the most powerful, reliable and longest lasting rubber.

Spear

The spear is a Sandvik tri cut stainless steel which is far superior than most spearguns on the market that use basic 17-4PH stainless steel, Sandvik is stronger, stiffer and more corrosive resistant. The tri cut tip to the spear gives excellent penetration and deflects impacts better than a needle point, reducing the risk of damaging the spear or flopper.

Barrel & Muzzle

Fitted with a fully anodized aluminium barrel, the unique sloped oval shape to the barrel makes this gun very stable to shoot and cuts through the water easily, its increased mass dampens recoil and improves accuracy.

The EVO muzzle features band risers to help with loading and integrated line guides for reloading the shooting line.

Handle & Mechanism

The original D’Angelo iii handle has been updated with the larger loading butt and black universal grip to make shooting and reloading more ergonomic and comfortable. The mechanism has been updated with the side line release to replace the old fiddly pin release which was very difficult to reload a double wrap and with gloves on.

The new side line release is quicker and easier to reload the shooting line and has plenty of room for a double wrap of line.

The mechanism is also set back in the handle in a “reverse” position behind the trigger position giving you around 7cm more loading length for the bands, essentially giving you more power for the size of the gun.

The newly designed Aluminum Oval barrel with enclosed track combined with the floater offers stability, maneuverability and stiffness. Sniper roller muzzle and sniper handle remain for the best speargun holding & aiming.
