OceanAmmo is an American spearfishing brand that specializes in producing high quality wooden spearguns. The Reef speargun is their most versatile model designed for close to medium range hunting, perfect for UK waters, equipped with 14.5mm bands on the smaller sizes 70-90cm and 16mm bands on the larger 100 and 110cm models. (length is referred to as the barrel length, overall gun stock length is 20-30cm larger)
The 14.5mm bands on the smaller sizes are easier to load and allow for fast reloading and still provide plenty of power.
Ultra Slick Poly Enclosed Track
This revolutionary development by OceanAmmo allows the spear to glide effortlessly down the barrel reducing friction and recoil. The salt water activated material makes the enclosed track super slippery allowing the spear to fire even quicker.
The enclosed track also means reloading is quicker and the shots are more accurate, as well as making it very obvious if your spear is bent as it wont load into the track.
Ermes Reverse Double Roller Trigger Mechanism
Fitted with the highly regarded Ermes Double Roller trigger mech which is “reversed” in the handle meaning the spear loads further back above the trigger increasing the loading length of the gun, therefore providing more power in a smaller gun.
Custom guns
All guns can be fully customised with coloured tints to the wood and any design or colour for the tracks, as well as custom engravings – these extras mean the gun has to be made fully custom so the lead time is around 2 weeks.
