Riffe Euro traveller | Riffe modular euro series
This was the first gun pinched out of the stockroom 🙂 Identical in every way to the standard Euro version this has the added benefit of splitting in half and would fit into even the smallest of suitcases. The whole process takes less than a couple of minutes and is guaranteed to make you feel like a secret agent.
There is absolutely zero movement in either the shaft or the gun and the joins are virtually invisible, it took us a good couple of moments to actually find them.
In the water the teak naturally floats making it a smooth handling gun that cuts laterally very well.
The ‘Mag Track’ makes it even more of joy to hunt with. Through some wizardry worthy of Hogwarts (or powerful magnets), the spear is sucked firmly into position speeding up and taking all the hassle out of reloading. It’s a simple but totally genius feature that we love here at spearfishing.co.uk and not sure on the legalities but we would love to see it on all our gun ranges.
The Euro Traveller series has pre-drilled threaded stainless steel inserts for the real. The nose is also bolted after the rubbers have been inserted for extra strength.
We keep saying this but the craftsmanship in these guns is phenomenal. It’s hard to find words that accurately describe how beautiful these wooden spearguns by Riffe are and the traveller is possibly at the pinnacle of this. To truly appreciate this you need to hold one in your hands, it gives you the same type of feeling as holding a well crafting hunting rifle. The detail and patterns in the teak ensures no two spearguns can ever be the same. Meaning that each gun in its own way is totally unique and to us, there’s something rather special about that. This is further compounded by each gun having an individual serial number branded into its stock.
In short we promise you three things when you first receive your Riffe modular. The first is you will agree that it looks far better in the flesh than either words or our pictures can convey, you will find yourself watching the telly with it on your lap playing with the safety catch and the first time you break it down and put in your suit case – you will feel like a hitman.
On a more serious not this is an incredibly formidable speargun and has become our ‘go to’ gun when going on ‘family holidays’ and not allowed to take 30 kilos of spearo gear with us. We popped reels on ours and can honestly say we feel it’s the best travelling combination on the market.
The sizing of the Euro series and Euro modularis identical to the normal European guns you see in the shops, so an EM90 is the same as an RA90 etc.
