Carbon fibre fabric

The Pathos Maximum Carbon Blades fins are made of 285-T4 and 285-T2 pure carbon fibre. This is the number one choice of fabric to ensure you get a combination of high resistance and instant reaction.

The carbon fibre is combined with the highest quality of epoxy resin and provides stiffness, reliability and longer life. The 285-T4 4X4 carbon weaving style removes any cracking, distortion and wrinkling of the blade. It also ensures complete resin soaking, while the inner 285-T2 2X2 weaving insures rapid recall.


Each pair of Pathos Maximum Carbon Blades fins are processed thermally for 36 hours and cures at 8 tons of pressure for 24 hours. This process provides the blades with a glossy surface that minimises water friction and has a more reactive performance.

The entire manufacturing process reduces carbon fabric and epoxy resin disposal.

Water rails

The Pathos carbon blades provide outstanding performance during deep dives due to the side water rails. The elastic spoilers operate as guides which create a water channel. This prevents the fins to drift on the sides and requires a lot less energy.

Flap-shaped edge

Hours upon hours of rigorous testing have proven that the flap-shaped edge of the Pathos Maximum Carbon Blades fins exceed the diver’s efforts and also add an extra push at the end of the leg movement.

This unique feature allows the diver to use less power when compared to previous concave shaped models.


The Pathos Maximum blades transfer the power created by the movement of the diver along their length. This is possible due to the carbon fabric’s inner arrangement.

The unique inner design provides the blades with the ability of taking under pressure a full curved C-shape. This allows for the best flexibility, functionality and overall efficiency. The return of the blade is instant.

24 degree angle

The high performance of the blade is achieved by increasing the angle. This 24o angle is comfortable for every diver, no matter his/her fitness. The entire combination of both Pathos footpocket and Maximum carbon blade provides a dynamic result.

Pathos footpockets

The main focus behind the design of the famous Pathos footpocket is to provide high comfort and great stability, and at the lowest weight.

The pure latex is vulcanised in a Pathos factory in Greece using specially designed rubber injection machines. With consideration of the environment, Pathos only uses A class recycled and recyclable materials.

The footpocket is made with three different mixtures of pure latex. They are soft on the toes and heel, medium on the side nerves which allows the blade to move freely, and hard on the metatarsals and the bottom of the foot which provides stability. Every single Pathos footpocket passes multiple checks before stocking and shipping all around the world.

The Pathos carbon blade can be easily installed and with minimum effort. All it takes are a few drops of superglue.

The footpockets are available in black, purple, military green, cernia brown, red and blue (see gallery pictures).
