Wanting to add some flair to your handle?

Rob Allen Trigger Mechanism with Loading Butt

Loading butts push the gun away from you when loading up, meaning you don't have to pull back as far. The downside is that they reduce the surface area and reduce the spread of the force on your chest.

The Timberline guns add a wooden ballast to the carbon barrel to increase the mass of the gun. Mass improve accuracy and the wood ballast improves buoyancy.

The Rob Allen carbon railgun

Possibly the most sought after speargun on earth. The twin 16mm, 160cm version is a truly famous blue water hunters dream taking down tuna and wahoo everywhere.

The Timberline guns add a wooden ballast to the carbon barrel to increase the mass of the gun. Mass improves accuracy and the wood ballast improves buoyancy.

These guns took 2 years to develop, experimenting with various prototypes of carbon and timber to find the perfect combination of strength and mass.

The guns are made to be slightly negatively buoyant once setup and use the mass of the timber to dampen the recoil and make the gun much more maneuverable in the water, this is more noticeable in the longer guns compared to aluminium or carbon guns.

Each gun is individually balanced and takes a week to manufacture, if adding a reel you will need to remove lead from the handle, please see Rob Allens YouTube explanation for more info.

It really is what legends are made of and all starts with the manufacturing process. Each strand of carbon fibre is pull wound in a continuous flow using a phenomenal 4 tons of pressure. This allows the fibre loading to be maintained at an insanely high level, far over the traditional mandrel wound tubes, which is why Rob Allen’s technology is so popular.

Each barrel is pressure tested twice immediately after it has been made, and in a pressure tank for one hour at a depth of 40 meters.

The GT edition is the max power and range version. Sporting twin 16mm rubbers we have to double wrap the shooting line so you can capitalise on all that extra range. Some people feel this is too much for the UK, and for 95% of situations they would be correct. However, when the vis opens up and you want to take that head shot at range….

We have seen a large jump in demand for these configurations over the past couple of years.

The spear is a stainless steel 7.5mm tri-cut projectile that is perfectly weighted for the twin bands. The heavy duty mono shooting line has a ridiculous breaking strain of 400lbs, secured via stainless steel crimps and attached via a Rob Allen muzzle bungee.

This gun is very light yet incredibly strong, even up to 1.6 meter lengths. Check out the IUSA world records and you will see heaps have been taken with the Rob Allen carbon. No other manufacturer on earth can say this, which is why you know from the onset that there is no ‘hype’ involved with this gear.

Make no mistake – Rob Allen is the Chuck Norris of spearguns!
