The Sniper range from Mares, a trusted quality brand, is simple and functional, but with an adequate level of tech to boost performance and meet the needs of most spearos.

The Mares Sniper (code 423421) differs from the Sniper Pro (code 423425) in the lengths available – 45 / 55 / 75 / 90 (by contrast the Sniper pro comes in 75 / 90 / 100 / 110).

They both have the 28mm barrel in durable anodised aluminium.

They also both have a tahitian shaft – this is 6.5mm for the Sniper, and the sizing is 75 / 85 / 115 / 130 (for the Sniper Pro it is 115 / 130 / 140 / 150)

Both the Sniper and the Sniper Pro have an S-Power Speed circular sling.

This gun does not come rigged from the manufacturer. We can rig it for you at a small charge to cover the time it takes. We will also upgrade to high quality Rob Allen 2mm mono and crimps with a single wrap.

A muzzle bungee is not provided by the manufacturer of this gun, but we feel it’s an essential upgrade if you want to avoid stressing when rigging your gun in the water after a shot. The bungee allows you to quickly pop your shooting line on the line release ready for your next shot. Without a bungee this can be a very fiddly and annoying job – especially with gloves on.
